- Hveragerði
- Hveragerði is known as the “hot springs town.” Here, you can enjoy a brief stop to stretch your legs, grab a coffee, and explore the geothermal activity that makes this town unique. Witness the steaming vents and bubbling hot springs.
- Seljalandsfoss Waterfall
- One of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss is unique as you can walk behind it. Take a short walk to experience this stunning 60-metre tall waterfall from every angle.
- Skógafoss Waterfall
- A short drive east brings you to Skógafoss, another majestic waterfall with a drop of 60 metres and a width of 25 metres. Climb the steps to the right of the waterfall for a panoramic view from the top.
- Sólheimajökull Glacier
- After the waterfalls, head to the Sólheimajökull Glacier for a short, guided walk to its edge. This glacier tongue extends from the Mýrdalsjökull ice cap and offers a chance to witness the raw power and beauty of Iceland’s ice formations.
- Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach

Optional Extras
Snowmobiling at Mýrdallsjökull
This tour gives you the opportunity to go up to the top of a glacier. The Mýrdalsjökull glacier is Iceland’s fourth largest glacier, covering the Katla volcano. To get up to the roots of the glacier, we will take you up the mountain in a real glacier truck (about 1 hour each way). Once there, we’ll get on our snowmobiles and ride up the ice cap. From there, we can enjoy the glacier landscapes and scenery over south Iceland. Everything needed for the tour is provided, and our expert guides will teach you how to handle the snowmobile to enjoy this adventure in a fun but safe way. The duration of the tour is suitable for first-time riders. Please note: All drivers must be 17 years of age or older and have a full, valid driver’s licence. According to Icelandic law, a learner’s permit, tractor, or motorcycle licence is not sufficient. Single riders and groups with odd numbers must book a single-ride snowmobile. The meeting point is at Mýrdalsjökull Base – Road 222 and the duration of the activity is about 3 hours.
ATV tour to the black sands beach and DC-3 plane
This tour begins after you meet your ATV guide at the Base by Mýrdalsjökull glacier. You will receive all the necessary gear and a short safety briefing before venturing to ride on Iceland’s iconic black beaches. The guide will lead the group to the stunning coastline to witness breathtaking views of the surrounding area. You’ll marvel at the views of Dyrhólaey, a peninsula that is the southernmost tip of the country, and the marvellous Mýrdalsjökull glacier in the distance. After leaving the beach, the group will head to the famous Sólheimasandur plane wreck. This relic has been resting in the sand since 1973. Following the plane, you will drive to the Jökulsá river and up the foot of the mountain. This action-packed tour ends when you arrive back at the base. Please note: A valid driver’s licence is required to drive a quad bike. Single riders and groups with odd numbers are required to book a single-ride ATV. The meeting point is at Mýrdallsjökull Base and the tour’s duration is about 2 hours.
Zipline Adventure in Vík
The Beginning Our Zipline is situated right next to the village in Vík in South Iceland surrounded by beautiful hills and valleys. It is not directly accessible by vehicle so after we pick you up at our base we drive for about 3-5 minutes, we hike for another 5 minutes at a moderate pace to reach the take-off platform for the first zip, named Big Rush. Here the thrilling adventure takes off. The Zipline Adventure Our second zip, The Gentle Giant is just around the corner from the first. We will give you detailed safety instructions and make sure you are comfortable with what to do during the ride so you will enjoy the ride to the fullest and stay safe. Once you’re ready then you wait your turn and next thing you know, you are zipping above the canyon, heart pumping with excitement and having the best birds-eye view of the area that you can’t imagine beforehand. Then we take a short hike through the amazing rock formation of Grafargil (Grave Canyon) to the next activity, named Leap of Faith. Then follows the last zip-line that we call Little Rush, it will take you over a stunning waterfall, named Hundafoss. The End We might offer you extra fun in the end, depending on weather conditions before the car picks us up for the ride back to Vík. Availability We have daily departures all year long. Duration The whole tour takes 1,5 – 2 hours. Depending on the size and shape of the group along with weather conditions. LAVA Show in Vík
Lava Show is an award-winning attraction for innovation in addition to its educational and cultural value. A world-class immersive experience that affects all the senses. Edutainment at its best. Running time: 45-55 minutes * While Lava Show is highly educational and family friendly, the show may not be best suited for the very youngest age group (0-4 years). A substantial part of the show involves spoken language (in English) by a live host that may render the little ones restless. Parents are responsible for their children’s behaviour and are kindly asked to voluntarily leave the showroom with their children if they struggle to stay seated and quiet during the show. This is for the sake of our hosts and our other guests. Thank you for understanding. These groups range from student groups that have come to have the ultimate geology class, to groups of families, friends and company groups, wanting to do something completely unique, educational, awe-inspiring, and fun.
